Deviation Actions
Hello dear members,
I'd like to introduce you to the new Gallery sub-folders that were just instated:
- Final Renderings: this is where you will submit your clean, photo-realistic images.
- Projects: this folder is mainly for project boards or presentations. Alternatively, project steps like scale models or orthogonal views can also be submitted here.
- Sketches: this is a great folder where all paper and digital sketches should be submitted, no matter is they're thumbnail doodles or clean sketches.
- Technical: this is where images like Exploded Views, Section Views and other technical stuff should be submitted.
- Transportation Design: all deviations related to transportation should be submitted here, no matter if they are sketches or renderings or projects. Many other groups are specialized in Automotive/Transportation Design, which is why we will only accept the very best transportation entries from now on, to leave most of the emphasis on other Industrial Design disciplines.
You'll also notice that the "Featured" folder is not accepting submissions anymore. That's because it's now a "Best Of" folder, in which the group admins will transfer the deviations that are the most creative, the most visually attractive or the most technically excellent. If you have any Deviation suggestions for the Featured folder, please let us know anytime!
I'd like to invite every member to tell us their opinion about the new gallery folders organization and how it could be improved to better satisfy your needs.

Deviations Accepted
Good evening members!
I received some quality submissions lately but they unfortunately didn't really fall into "Industrial Design". Sometimes the line is really thin between what is and what is not ID and this is why I'm writing this entry.

Here's what we will accept:

- Entries related to Product Design (products YOU designed), may it be sketches, photos of scale models, prototypes, renderings or any other similar piece of work;
- Entries related to Transportation Design (vehicles YOU designed), may it be sketches, photos of scale models, prototypes, re

Milan Design Week 2010 +++ Tips part 1
Huge! That is the one word I choose to describe the event.
As my first year visiting the fair and Milan, I didn’t know what to expect. Now that I do, here are some advices for first timers like me considering you arrived at Milan Central Station.
+++A small tip for travelers: do never leave tour luggage unwatched. And if someones asks you for something that is in your bag, say you don’t have it.
+++First off, you need to get to Rho Fiero Milano. I would suggest avoiding the metro if you don’t want to be laughed at by a sardine, it’s over packed. There are trains going all the way to that station, it’s mor
A group for those who help shape the world.
After so many years and so many versions of deviantArt, I realized that the industrial product designers were always hidden behind their "generic" work and didn't show much of product sketches and personal projects.
I understand that for each project there is an important amount of research and due to copyright/privacy/financial reasons, we are far from seeing any good projects freely available online, but I always thought that it would be great to push this motivation of creating product concepts for the fun of it, and make it available for everyone to critique.
I therefore invite everyone to help make this new group active by submitting a
