Good evening members!

I received some quality submissions lately but they unfortunately didn't really fall into "Industrial Design". Sometimes the line is really thin between what is and what is not ID and this is why I'm writing this entry.

------------------------------------------
Here's what we will accept:
------------------------------------------

- Entries related to Product Design (products YOU designed), may it be sketches, photos of scale models, prototypes, renderings or any other similar piece of work;

- Entries related to Transportation Design (vehicles YOU designed), may it be sketches, photos of scale models, prototypes, renderings or any other similar piece of work;

------------------------------------------
Here's what we will NOT accept:
------------------------------------------

- Photos of products or vehicles that were not created entirely by you (or your team)

- Concept Art (some sci-fi, futuristic and robotic images CAN be related to ID, but many other groups specialize in them)

- Car Chops (these are more relevant to Car Illustration than Industrial Design)

- Artisan works that don't relate to ID

- Any other work not relevant to our field or that don't fall into our standards of quality

------------------------------------------
These rules are being established to keep high standards of quality throughout our gallery to show our profession into its best light to each member of our group and subsequently every other Deviant interested in Industrial Design. If you have any objection, comment or suggestion, please reply or send me a personal message.
------------------------------------------
Due to abuse and demand, some of you may se you projects deleted from this group in order to keep a certain quality of work in the gallery. A approval system will also be set to control that quality

We apologize for the drastic decision, it is to ensure the survival of this group.

Thank you for participating and keep submitting your great work!
Huge! That is the one word I choose to describe the event.

As my first year visiting the fair and Milan, I didn’t know what to expect. Now that I do, here are some advices for first timers like me considering you arrived at Milan Central Station.

+++A small tip for travelers: do never leave tour luggage unwatched. And if someones asks you for something that is in your bag, say you don’t have it.

+++First off, you need to get to Rho Fiero Milano. I would suggest avoiding the metro if you don’t want to be laughed at by a sardine, it’s over packed. There are trains going all the way to that station, it’s more expensive but it’s worth the confort, realy!

+++Once you get to the Rho Fiero station, it’s not hard to find the fair, follow the crowd. At the entrance, you’ll find a bunch of people waiting in line to buy tickets. If you haven’t got yours sneak your way on the lower level as most people arriving from train and metro don’t know that there’s another ticket stand there. Time saved!

+++If you’re a group, set a meeting point in case you separate. As I said, it’s huge.

+++I am assuming you examined the fair plan before going. If you’re like me and like to observe the details of the furniture presented, prepare to be standing for 5-6 hours. Do not party the night before, you’ll want to be rested.

Part 2 is on my blog: www.saadcreative.com/blog/?p=4…
After so many years and so many versions of deviantArt, I realized that the industrial product designers were always hidden behind their "generic" work and didn't show much of product sketches and personal projects.

I understand that for each project there is an important amount of research and due to copyright/privacy/financial reasons, we are far from seeing any good projects freely available online, but I always thought that it would be great to push this motivation of creating product concepts for the fun of it, and make it available for everyone to critique.

I therefore invite everyone to help make this new group active by submitting art or favorites and commenting the featured work.
